Petra is founder and behavioural specialist at Salt and Light Therapy. She works with clients directly, liaises with external professionals and manages the therapy process. Petra has a wealth of experience working with young people and adults in various mental health settings. Applied Psychology (MSc) - Health & Forensic (British Psychological Society (BPS) Accredited and Registered - Graduate Basis) Social Work (BSc) - University of Guyana. ​Petra holds two accredited diplomas from the Association for Psychological Therapies (APT): DIp Psychological Therapies; DIp Common Mental Health Diagnosis. petra is currently APT Level 2 accredited, registered and trained in using the following approaches in therapy: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Trauma Focused CBT For All Ages Working With Personality Disorders CBT Plus With Depression Motivational Interviewing Petra is best known for working with clients in a collaborative way with a focus on understanding the individual and their circumstances. ​

Work Experience
Petra has worked therapeutically with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Sexual Violence, Schizophrenia, Suicidal behaviour, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Depression.

​Petra has also worked in Health and Social Care with specific focus on dementia, mental health and end of life/palliative care.
